AFL Betting Tips Round 14

A disappointing Round 13, but we ended with a tiny loss. So let’s brush that aside and move straight back into the winners. A big weekend ahead hopefully.

Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide Power

The Power really need to make a move here. Personally I think they are gone, but a win against the Swans could re-ignite the charge towards the finals. They have every chance here too with the Swans likely to be missing Buddy and Tippett.

The Swans defence will be hell bent on tightening up here after letting the Tigers get the better of them. Against a terribly out of form Power forward line, I think they keep their total low. Vice versa with the Power. The Swans are typically lower scorers anyway, and play tight scrap football. Take out Buddy and Tippett (maybe), and this score comes in even more. The bookies may have missed this for now.

Collingwood Magpies vs Hawthorn Hawks

Who would have thought this was set up to be a ripper. The Pies young brigade are hungry and playing quality pressure football, while the Hawks are building momentum but with some shaky moments.

The loss of Frawley may hurt the Hawks here slightly, and the Pies could see Reid and Greenwood return to bolster some key posts. It will be a huge challenge for the Pies to go for long enough to win this, and I think they fall short by a couple. The current line seems a little high at the moment, and with some support late we could get a nice middle.

Let’s hope for a classic just like last Thursday.

Melbourne Demons vs West Coast Eagles

TIO Stadium

Both teams fresh off the bye and fresh off some brilliant wins. The Demons would consider themselves a chance here, but I think the Eagles have just a little too much strike power. Nonetheless, it should be free flowing on a warm and fine Darwin evening. The total looks a little low here, especially when West Coast average over 100 points this season.

AFL Betting Tip: Game total over 164.5 points
